Read the meditation slowly
Sit comfortably and allow the body to become quiet. Keep the eyes gently open and let your attention turn inward.
I become aware of myself as the one who is thinking and observing. I am not only the roles I play. I am a peaceful, living point of awareness.
Now I allow one simple thought to arise: I do not have to travel alone through life. The Supreme is available as a constant spiritual Friend.
I bring to this Friend whatever is in my heart — the unfinished questions, the worries, the hopes and the things I do not know how to express to anyone else.
I do not need to perform or pretend. In this relationship I can be completely sincere. I allow myself to receive quiet strength, understanding and love.
For a few moments I simply remain in this companionship. I am a soul in the presence of the Supreme Soul. I feel less alone and more supported.
As I return to the day, I keep one thought with me: I can remember this Friend while I work, travel, speak and make decisions. The connection can continue.
