Focus Your Wandering Mind

1 minFocus & Clarity

A short concentration practice for moments when attention keeps scattering. Raja Yoga does not demand that thoughts disappear; it trains the mind to return deliberately to a chosen point.

What this meditation can help you practise

  • Practise bringing attention back without frustration.
  • Build a simple concentration habit.
  • Prepare the mind for study, work or meditation.

Read the meditation slowly

This written reflection is an original companion practice prepared for Brahma Kumaris Philippines around the same theme. It is not a verbatim transcript of Sister Jayanti's recording.

I notice that the mind has wandered. I do not criticise it.

I simply choose one point and return.

I remember myself as the soul — the one who directs attention.

For a few seconds I hold one clean thought: I am peaceful and present.

When another thought comes, I notice it and return again.

Each return strengthens mastery.

I continue with greater steadiness.
